Meet The Face Behind Hoover Electric

I’m Robert Hoover, proud owner of Hoover Electric.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

After growing up in Stouffville, Ontario, I couldn't find any work in the area. I spent some time scavenging for the odd job before I began working in the electrical trade in 1974. After gaining some experience, I started my own business in 1987, and Hoover Electric was born.

Hoover Electric provides primarily residential and commercial wiring services. As the owner, I am responsible for submitting quotes, customer relations, and major purchases. My work days consist of looking over and approving invoices, making quotes for potential jobs, scheduling jobs for the week, taking phone calls and providing customer service. I am also responsible for ensuring we are compliant by getting the proper permits and other paperwork required for our jobs.

I enjoy pricing jobs and the challenge of getting the job done well and on time. Having a happy customer is the most important and my more than forty years of experience, problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, all help make it possible.

While Pastor John Hyndman has had an extremely positive impact on my life, years ago when I was struggling to pay the bills, a friend of mine encouraged me to stay the course, I did and things are much better now. I attribute my success to that friend’s persuasion. I also have strong faith in God who I give all credit to for everything I have and enjoy.

When I am not at work, I enjoy gardening, exploring new lakes, bush roads, etc. I am quite involved in the church we attend. One of the most joyous moments in my recent past has been celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with my wonderful wife and love of my life Dona.

As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my honesty, integrity, hard work and a high standard of moral values.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
